TurboRMA and Phase 2 Readiness
(Return to TurboSWIFT main page)
BankServ's Relationship Management Application (TurboRMA) provides all the core functionalities using Store and Forward Technology to conduct all functions for managing authorizations for a business relationship. TurboRMA will replace the current BKE model to manage business relationships. The TurboRMA Application will store your business relations and interact with the relevant FIN software to ensure that only authenticated traffic for which authorizations are in place will be sent. With Turbo RMA there won’t be a need to renew an RMA authorization as long as the business relationship with that correspondent has not changed TurboRMA contains an additional functionality which is called Granularity (TurboRMA Plus) which enables the user to specify not just which organization are able to send you messages but also you can restrict them to what types of messages they can send.
About 27 customers have already completed the mandatory test scenarios and submitted the RMA Readiness Confirmation Form to SWIFT. We are now going to focus on all our customers with a Migration date of May 2008 and we expect all our customers to demonstrate their ability to use the live RMA service, by sending an authorisation to themselves. This will give us the assurance that the community is ready for the transition from BKE to RMA
Our first institution to declare RMA readiness was Union Bank of India, the leading public sector Indian bank. They have successfully completed a major milestone to meet SWIFT's deadline for SWIFTNet Phase 2 readiness. The bank went live on the latest version of BankServ's TurboSwift and TurboRMA solutions to manage all domestic and international payments in time for the mandatory SWIFTNet C2 country deadline.
