FAQ
Why is SameDayPay right for me?
If your company accepts checks or credit cards, SameDayPay makes bill payment easier both for you and for your customers. Current clients range from credit card and mortgage companies accepting bill payments, to insurance companies collecting premiums, to city and county governments receiving taxes and parking fines. And if you have a lot of customers who want to pay you over the Internet or by phone, SameDayPay is the answer for you.
What kinds of payments will SameDayPay let me accept?
SameDayPay can take payment either by credit card or through an electronic debit to a customer’s checking account (also known as an "electronic check" or ACH). Customers can make payments online at your company's web site, or over the phone by speaking with one of your customer service representatives.
Can I set up automatic payments for bills that recur every month?
Yes — customers can pre-approve payments for bills that come up on a regular basis. It should be noted that this feature can be used only with electronic checks, not credit cards.
Will using SameDayPay present any security risks to my company?
BankServ uses industry-standard security techniques to protect your and your customers' private data. We rely on a data-encrypted network that has been certified to exceed VISA CISP standards. When you use SameDayPay, your data is protected at all times by the same security practices used throughout the banking industry.
Do I need to open a new bank account to use SameDayPay?
No. Funds can be deposited into the account of your choice at any U.S. financial institution.
Does SameDayPay really transfer payments into my account on the same day?
SameDayPay initiates the transaction immediately and notifies you that a payment has been made that day. However, you should still allow some time for the transfer to be completed. Although the transaction is processed and you are given confirmation of the payment on the same day, transactions do not clear instantly.
Do I have to install any equipment or software to get SameDayPay up and running?
No — BankServ just creates an account for you on its own secure server, which also hosts the web process where your customers make payments. All you have to do is put a link to that page on your own web site. Alternatively, you may choose to use your own system to accept payments on your site, exchange payment instructions securely and safely with BankServ and BankServ will take care of completing the transaction.
Will I need to train my staff on how to use this product?
Since BankServ handles the processing on its own equipment and with its own software, there's very little to learn. Customers making online payments simply have to fill out a form with their credit card number or account information; customer service staff accepting payments over the phone merely fill out the same form.
